Ultra-Processed Is Everywhere. Smarter Choices Start Here.
Two out of three foods on the shelf were born in a lab, not grown on a farm. We help you spot 'em and swap 'em — a whole shelf at a time.
Real food's still out there. We'll help you find it.
Founding Members — Free for Life
The first 5,000 members lock it in free for life — 50 shelf-scans a month and saved lists, on the website and both apps. No card. No expiry. Offer closes at 5,000 members or January 31, 2027, whichever comes first.

Gator — your AI assistant. He reads the shelf, grades what's on it, and answers whatever you ask about an ingredient.
Dr. Seuzz — Suzanne Brock, PhD. Founder. She built this so you don't need a chemistry degree to read a label. Groceries today — fast food, cosmetics, cleaners, pet food and supplements coming soon.
Meet Gator Vision — Scan a Whole Section in a Single Photo
Point. Snap. Know.
Stop flipping over boxes in the aisle. One photo of a shelf, and Gator Vision reads every product in it — five, fifty, or the whole aisle. Our record is 127. Each one comes back graded, with its additives flagged green, yellow, or red by risk.
- One shelf at a time — not one barcode at a time
- Tap any additive to see what it is and why it is flagged

A hundred grades in one photo only helps if you trust the grade.

Gator Grade — One Honest Number, and We Show You the Math
No black box. Here is exactly how the number is built.
One number, 0 to 100, on every item — cutting straight through front-of-pack badges that all claim the same thing. You don't have to take it on faith either. Every input is peer-reviewed and public, and here is exactly how they are weighted.
Thirty-five percent of it is NOVA: how industrially the food was made. A score built on nutrients alone can't tell rolled oats from a puffed cereal that hits the same numbers on the panel. And every grade is computed from the product's own label — never inherited from another database.
The whole formula
That's all of it. No nutrition panel on the package? The weighting shifts to 58% NOVA and 42% additive risk. No ingredient list at all, or a category the science doesn't cover — coffee, tea, spices? We return no grade rather than a guess. We would rather say “we don't know” than make a number up.
That's our number. It still doesn't get to be the boss of your kitchen.
Your Rules. Not Our Grade.
Some food apps act like the boss of your lunchbox. Not us. You set the flags — 16 dietary preferences, your household's allergies, and the ingredients you're watching or avoiding — and Gator grades against your rules, not a one-size-fits-all verdict.
The grade comes second. You call the shots.
You set the rules. Here's the thinking we'd start from.
Why Invert the Pyramid?
The food industry spent decades telling you to eat low-fat, grain-heavy diets — while quietly filling supermarket shelves with ultra-processed products stripped of real nutrition and loaded with additives. Today, diet-related disease is the #1 killer in the developed world. The New Food Pyramid cuts through the noise with one simple principle: eat real food, in the right order.
Protein & Fats First
Base your meals on high-quality proteins and healthy fats for satiety and energy.
Unlimited Veggies
Fill up on fiber-rich vegetables that provide essential micronutrients.
Optimize Carbs
Treat carbohydrates as a fuel source to be earned, not a default filler.

Knowing what to avoid is half of it. Here's the other half.
We Don't Just Flag the Problem — We Hand You the Answer
Every red flag comes with a better choice.
Most apps are experts at doom and gloom: they tell you what's wrong and leave you stranded in the aisle. Not us. Scan or search any ultra-processed product, and Gator hands you cleaner, real-food alternatives that actually fit your diet — so you always walk out with a better option, not just bad news.
- A smarter swap for any low-scoring product
- Real-food alternatives — never more processed junk
- Tailored to your 16 dietary preferences

Rock The New Food Pyramid helps you make more informed food choices using independent, peer-reviewed research and publicly available data. Our scores combine the published Nutri-Score 2023 algorithm, the established NOVA classification applied to each product's own published ingredients, and additive risk tiers drawn from published safety evidence — and are provided for educational purposes only. They are not medical advice, and they are not a statement about the safety, legality, or quality of any brand or manufacturer.

None of this counts for anything if the science underneath it is soft. So here's exactly what ours is built on.
Backed by Science, Not Guesswork
Built on facts — not opinions. Every score, flag, and swap is grounded in trusted, factual sources: the published Nutri-Score 2023 algorithm, the NOVA system (University of São Paulo), built on peer-reviewed research, EFSA additive safety research, USDA food data, and the National Academies. We show our sources. We don't make things up.
Nutri-Score 2023 — 40% of the grade
The single largest input to a Gator Grade. Nutri-Score is the front-of-pack nutrition algorithm developed by European public-health researchers and used by regulators across Europe; we apply the published 2023 update, which tightened the treatment of sugar, salt and red meat.
See the Nutri-Score algorithm →NOVA Classification — 35% of the grade
NOVA was pioneered by Dr. Carlos Monteiro and researchers at the University of São Paulo's School of Public Health, and published in The Lancet, The BMJ and Public Health Nutrition. It is recognized by the FAO (United Nations) and adopted in national dietary guidelines worldwide. We compute it live from each product's own ingredient list — never inherited from another database.
Read the FAO guidelines →EFSA Additive Research — 25% of the grade
Additives are tiered by published safety evidence, drawing on the European Food Safety Authority's re-evaluation programme — the standing scientific review of colours, preservatives, sweeteners and emulsifiers permitted in the food supply.
Read the EFSA reviews →National Academies of Sciences
Our vitamin and mineral reference values are based on the Dietary Reference Intakes (DRIs) — published by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. The DRIs are the peer-reviewed reference behind every nutrient threshold on U.S. food labels and in credible nutrition research.
View the DRI reports →USDA Dietary Guidelines
Serving recommendations and nutritional targets are informed by the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, issued jointly by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and HHS — updated every five years with the latest nutrition science.
View the Dietary Guidelines →Open Food Facts
Our product database is powered by Open Food Facts — a free, nonprofit database built by volunteers worldwide. It contains detailed ingredient and nutrition data for over 3 million food products.
Explore Open Food Facts →We believe transparency builds trust. Every recommendation, classification, and nutrient fact in this app can be traced back to one of these sources — including the Gator Grade formula itself, which we publish in full. No hidden algorithms, no hidden agendas — just good science made accessible.
